Girls In
Engineering

Engineering is an exciting, varied, and rewarding career. Engineers build the world around us; they create, design, innovate, invent, evaluate, and enhance our lives daily. Despite the UK-wide shortage of young engineers, the uptake by girls remains disappointingly low. Goodwin is dedicated to championing female apprentices to fill future engineering and management roles. Our mission is to challenge girls' perceptions of engineering and make it a top career choice.

Our Commitment

At Goodwin, we believe in investing in people as a vital part of our business. Our comprehensive apprenticeship programme spans four years, starting with 12 months of off-the-job formal training, followed by on-the-job training at one of our subsidiary companies.

All apprentices qualify to Level 3 in Manufacturing Engineering and have opportunities for further qualifications depending on their career path within the Group.
